The Tolide Judo Club will host the 2019 Provincial Judo Championship at the Dow Centennial Centre in Fort Saskatchewan on Saturday February 2. We are currently recruiting for volunteers to help host the event.

The 2019 Judo Alberta Provincial Championships will be held on February 2nd, 2019 at the Tolide Judo Club (8700 84 St, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 4P5).
You must register for this tournament online at https://www.trackiereg.com/2019JudoABChamps by Sunday January 27th, 2019.
Weigh-Ins will take place on Friday February 1st at the following locations:
Dow Centennial Centre (8700 – 84 Street, Fort Saskatchewan, AB) from 7:00PM-8:30PM
Red Deer Judo Club (Unit 6 – 87 Petrolia Drive, Red Deer, AB) from 7:00PM-8:00PM
Hiro’s Judo Club (#115, 1919-27 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB) from 7:00PM-8:00PM
Please note that this is a Team Alberta mandatory event.

Kyra Edgson, age 14, of Prince George Judo Club was diagnosed a few weeks ago with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) which normally targets people over 65 years old. Kyra’s mom Katie Edgson is one of the main senseis at Prince George Judo Club and an active referee in BC and Canada. Kyra and her family need our help as they are looking at 8 or more months at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver to support Kyra. Judo Canada, Judo Alberta and the Lethbridge Judo Club is bringing 2018 World Judo Championships Bronze Medalist Christa Deguchi to Alberta for a visit/clinic. Judo Alberta and the Lethbridge Judo Club/RTC invite you to attend the sessions from December 19-December 22, 2018. This is a great opportunity for Judo Alberta athletes/coaches to learn from, meet and do randori with one of the best athletes in the world. There is no charge to the clinic.
